THE JUDGING OF CARS AT THE “COOL RUN TO THE MOUNTAINS”

THE “POPUPS” AND TABLES HAD NOT YET BEEN TAKEN DOWN.. WHEN I RECIEVED MY FIRST COMPLAINT OF THE JUDGING OF CARS FOR OUR EVENT. I TOOK ISSUE WITH EVEN THE SUGGESTION THAT THE MEMBERS OF THE “RODRIDERS” SHOULD NOT BE PERMITTED TO ENTER THIER “RIDES” IN THE COMPETITION. THERE WAS MUCH THOUGHT PUT INTO THE SELECTION OF JUDGES.
I WANT TO MAKE MYSELF VERY CLEAR ON THIS MATTER..THE JUDGES DID NOT CONSIST OF MEMBERS OF THE “RODRIDERS”.. THEY WERE MEMBERS OF A CAR CLUB IN THE BIG BEAR AREA..
A MEMBER OF A CAR CLUB ON THE EAST COAST..AND A LADY CAR ENTHUSIAST FROM THE LA AREA. IT HAS BEEN SAID..”THOSE WHO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE JUDGING OF AN EVENT, HAVE NEVER PUT ON A CAR SHOW”.. I FOR ONE NEVER THINK I WILL WIN A TROPHY. BECAUSE I GO FOR THE COMRADERY AND FRIENDSHIP OF OTHER “CARNUTZ”..!!
SO AS LONG AS WE ARE PERMITTED TO SHOW OUR CARS AND ARE FAIR AND NOT BIASED IN THE JUDGING OF ENTRANTS WE WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE COMPETITON..
YOUR COMMENTS ARE WELCOMED.. GEOFF
